What they do

Problem

Seasonal unemployment in rural agricultural areas leaves very poor families without income and leads to hunger during the lean season between planting and harvest.

Solution

The program provides a small travel subsidy to enable a household member to migrate temporarily to a nearby city for work during the lean season, increasing household income and food security.

Who it's for

Very poor rural agricultural households and laborers who need support to access temporary urban employment during the lean season.
