Founder

Derek is the CEO & founder of Cococart. He founded Basecamp Bali, an award-winning hotel in Indonesia, which he ran as CEO from 2019-2021. The hotel achieved a 100% occupancy rate with perfect ratings on Booking.com and Airbnb. He also created the Berkeley Ridiculously Automated Dorm with over 2 million views on YouTube. It has been featured in TIME, Forbes, CNN, BBC, Ellen TV, and hundreds of other media sources. Derek graduated from UC Berkeley in Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences.
